Sulaiman W. Rahman, 33, is the Founder & CEO of The UCI Group. The UCI Group is a collection of business and professional networks, media properties, and programs designed to engage, empower and connect diverse communities. Under Mr. Rahman’s leadership, The UCI Group developed its flagship property, UrbanPhilly.com (also doing business as Urban Philly Professional Network - UPPN), which reaches over 30,000 urban professionals and entrepreneurs in the Greater Philadelphia area. UrbanPhilly.com has become the leading digital communication and event marketing platform reaching the area’s black professional community.

• Prior to his current position, Mr. Rahman worked in the real estate industry as an agent and investor. He gained experience by working in different facets of the real estate business such as residential and commercial real estate sales, leasing, and financing by working in positions at Delaware Valley Housing Association, Century 21, Studley, Madison Funding, and Philadelphia Suburban Development Corporation, respectfully. He also served as the principle of a real estate acquisition and management company.
  
  
• Mr. Rahman is a subject matter expert in areas of social media, entrepreneurship, real estate, leadership and business. He has addressed audiences ranging from a few dozen to more than 4,000. Mr. Rahman has appeared on numerous internet and broadcast radio talk shows, and has been featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal, Daily News, Inquirer, and Tribune.
  
  
• He has received numerous awards and recognition for his leadership in business and the community. His honors include: 10 People under 40 to Watch in 2008 - The Philadelphia Tribune, Most Influential African American Leaders 2009 - The Philadelphia Tribune, 101 Next Generation Connectors - Leadership Philadelphia and 2009 Urban Young Leader Award – Urban League of Philadelphia.
  
  
• Mr. Rahman presently serves on the Board of Directors for the African American Chamber of Commerce, Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) and The Idea Coalition. Additionally, he sits on committees for the Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC) and Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) and is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
